Drive & Ride Show Class
The “Drive and Ride” class held at Longears and other equine shows exhibits an equine’s versatility. First, you are asked to drive at the walk, trot and extended trot both directions of the arena and then do a Rein Back in line. Then you are given 3 minutes to change tack and equipment and be judged the same way as a Pleasure Riding class. You can ride and drive either Western or English, but the tack and wardrobe for each segment must be consistent. This is a great way to train your equine and to show spectators the true versatility of your equine. It is also great practice for you to be able to tack and re-tack your equine…and change your attire…all in a matter of 3 minutes! That takes real organization skills that are calculated and consistently repetitive to be able to accomplish in that in such a limited amount of time! It is a fun class to watch as a spectator, but even more fun for exhibitors! Learn more in the various sections under TRAINING at www.luckythreeranch.com.
