She is extremely thin, nearly emaciated. She has an injury above her eye that is draining, causing her to have swelling above her eye. She is covered in bite marks and just a very sad, broken little girl. She does not trust, and you can tell she probably wants to. I have been contacted by several folks to see if we can help her. She is unhandled, not halter broke and a hot mess. I need to raise about $3500 to ensure bail, transport costs and get her started on her road to recovery. Sadly, Daphnee is still struggling with her weight. We are watching her closely, as there could be underlying issues. At this point, we are hopeful it is due to Delilah being such a good eater. The following is from All About Equine Rescue. All About Equine Animal Rescue, Inc. Portia Update Remember Portia? She came in with Maia, and the two stallions, Whiskey and Myers, followed. Portia was in the best condition of the four, and she's looking and feeling much better (though our recent photos don't quite show how much better). Chilly Pepper – Mama needs your help!
The following is from Chilly Pepper - Miracle Mustang: Quick update on the girls. Daphnee, Delilah, and Shayla need your help. As you can see in the photo, Daphnee is really struggling. Being the amazing Mama that she is, ALL she has is going to her baby. Delilah is doing much better, because she is nursing like crazy and sucking out all of Mama's nutrition. Since Mama was starving while preggers, Delilah needs to catch up. However, this means Mama needs special groceries and lots of them.
