It’s GO Time! We need more funds to keep them safe. I have to commit For Sure by Monday at 9 A.M. Our beautiful Angel offered to match up to $1500. Matching that would cover the costs to KEEP THEM SAFE. It doesn’t cover the costs to get them home, but we need to get them SAFE, before anything else
I cannot even imagine how horrible it would be to be butchered in someone’s back yard. I have seen some pretty horrific situations, and these horses don’t deserve that.
PLEASE HELP US SAVE THESE KIDS!!!!!
I so appreciate ALL MY CHILLY PEPPER FAMILY, but lately I wonder if it is time to slow down and step away. With the economy this unstable, I wonder if folks will still want to keep saving as many as we can. Again, I am willing to do the work but have to be able to care for any that we save that end up being permanent residents.

This is a rough one. We need so much help with these precious souls. Y’all met the “matching funds”and they were used for bail, transport, existing vet bills in NV, & paying the guys to haul, break down, and put up the new shelter.
These horses are in rough condition. The little baby named Barkley, appears to be going blind. He has issues with both eyes, and a badly infected leg. Stormy appears to possibly have a broken jaw? We had Doc out for an emergency vet visit to make sure we were not torturing her waiting for a regular appointment. He is going to sedate her, check out her mouth and then do x-rays to see what actual damage there is, and to possibly schedule surgery. Scarlett has a horrible injury on her leg and another injury that is infected on her side. Most of the time I don’t even see the horses, and I never have any real idea about injuries etc.
We need to pay off the panels, which is another $2,000, the vet bill in WA which is about $3500, order more hay, grain, special feed for the babies and more clay.
Raising money is difficult in this economy. I know folks get tired of it, I know I AM extremely tired of doing fundraisers. I think some people forget that I don’t get paid, am working with a broken leg, and am simply doing my best to keep saving the horses. But for EACH AND EVERY ONE THAT YOU (WE) SAVE, IT IS A TRUE EMERGENCY AND IT IS BETWEEN LIFE AND DEATH! It’s so hard to say yes sometimes because I have to be able to care for them and pay the folks who help out while I am broken.
I also received a call about a big, starving, older draft horse. I cannot begin to think about saying yes if we can’t cover the day to day and costs for the horses we have rescued. Winter is coming, and I know we have to be prepared. IF folks want to help and we get enough to cover at least most of the expenses, I would definitely try and help the draft horse. Until then, I simply can’t say yes to him today.
I so appreciate ALL MY CHILLY PEPPER FAMILY, but lately I wonder if it is time to slow down and step away. URGENT 911!! A family of Six? NEVADA Mustangs need you Now! They are headed straight into the slaughter pipeline unless we save them.
I was told these mustangs came from the same area that WARRIOR did. This could be his DAD or BROTHER?
The photo above shows how they comfort each other as they wait for an unknown future. I was told they are extremely reactive and need a safe place with someone who knows what they need.
It is a rare opportunity to get them before they end up in the Kill pen. There is a stallion, 2 mares that are “covered”, and a yearling colt.
So in all reality, you are saving SIX lives!
Look at these beautiful faces. This is THEIR 911!! Please help me save them.
These are NV mustangs, and are set to ship to slaughter.
We need $3500 for bail and transport. We need an additional $4000 plus for the vet bills, hay and feed for the next few months. Our current “special needs” kids also need more grain and special feed. We actually FEED and provide Medical Care for the horses we rescue.
So many rescues are shutting down, or heading that way. It takes all my faith to say yes to taking on more horses we most likely will have to feed this winter. Please make this another successful rescue!
You, my Chilly Pepper Family, have been saving lives for well over Sixteen years!

THANK YOU for saving their lives.A special thanks to the folks who stepped up to offer matching funds.
The “matching funds” was a success, and that is what allowed us to not only get the pregnant mares and the Jennies, but to save “Jeepers”, the horse with the eye injury.
Jeepers was tortured, his face set on fire and Doc said he needs surgery on his eye, or what is left of it. We are not sure if that was from part of the torture, or if it might be cancer.
The Cremello mare has a horribly infected leg, close to her joint. Doc said it is serious enough that even though she is very pregnant, she won’t survive without getting the infection under control.
There is a chance the antibiotics could cause a miscarriage, but if Mama dies from the infection, the baby won’t live either. She is being treated with clay and antibiotics. Please say a prayer for her.
It is so hard to see these injuries, but sadly they seem to be part of most of the rescues.
Appreciate prayers for the rescue truck. She was towed in to the shop yesterday. It sounds like it could be extremely serious, AND EXPENSIVE. as it is something in the electrical system. Without her, I am stuck. Again, it happened in the driveway, not on a haul with horses and out in the middle of nowhere. God was watching over me as always. I am grateful for that, and praying for an affordable fix.
Jeepers has a perfect home offer, once he is healthy and has the veterinary care he needs. A 7 year old who has already fallen in love with him. He finally hit the jackpot. After years of suffering and torture, this horse will be starting his “best life”.
Thank you for making that happen. Getting the matching funds made the difference for this wonderful horse.

We have two amazing donors who have offered to match funds up to $2600, to save these kids.
Beginning now, at 5:30 pm. All donations will be put towards the goal for the matching $2600. For every dollar you donate, these amazing folks will match it, all the way up to $2600.
Between receiving the matching funds offer and typing this, we have received $I00 towards the matching funds.
So now we are looking for $2500 more to be matched. We will be able to SAVE THESE KIDS, AND HELP another one I was called about who’s eye is hanging out???.
Thank you so much!
God is answering our prayers!

WE NEED HELP ASAP!!
To date we have only raisesd about $!600. This won’t even cover the bail for these guys.
HOW WOULD I PICK???
IN ADDTION, I received a call from a friend in NV who is trying to save an older guy with a blown eye. I can’t begin to say yes to help, when I am not even close to raising the funds for these 6 lives.
I know that multiple rescues are really struggling. I hope this is not the future.
It’s up to y’all. We need another $3400 just to get them here and have a few weeks of feed.
Will you help us save them??
Thank you to everyone who has helped with so far.

Another phone call, and you guessed it, another Emergency. I received an urgent call for 2 Pregnant Mamas, and 2 young Jennies headed to slaughter.
So many folks ask why so many pregnant mares end up at slaughter? It IS deliberate!! The heavier they are, the more money they bring. We can’t let these 2 innocent foals be cut of Mama’s belly, and thrown away on the slaughter floor.
Sadly, I have seen photos of that, and you cannot unsee them.
I know times are tough, and honestly, it is scary trying to raise enough funds to save them, and also be able to support and care for them, until they are ready to be re-homed.
We need $6500 for these SIX lives for bail, transport, vetting, groceries and all the other expenses that come with rescue. Please let’s save them.
PLEASE help now. I ONLY want to say YES, we will save them.
Today, I am heading back to the Doc, and my hauler is standing by and ready to go get them IF we can save them!

The 1st Surgery went pretty well, although I am still in the hospital hoping to go home soon. Controlling the pain has been a challenge, but the new hip seems to be setting in well..
Unfortunately, I need, serious help with funding to keep hiring the help I need, pay down the vet bills, purchase feed, etc.
Great news from Golconda. Spice is starting to gain weight and is getting the proper nutrition she needs.
Rescue doesn’t stop for little things like broken legs, etc. Sadly it’s my life, so I can’t, or we wouldn’t be where we are. It just takes a bit more help and some creativity.

Hi, Thank you for saving Olivia and her unborn foal. These are some of the kids currently in NV.
We have an order of hay coming on Monday, and that is roughly $1000. As you can see in the photos, all these kids love their feed, lol. That does not include the grain and special feed for some of the older, special needs kids.
Our Vet bill in Goldendale is $4345, with the babies, Coggins, emergency visits etc. It also cost about $1000 to help the two mares leave their pain and suffering. We received some help for them, but we already had an existing bill.
Our bill in NV is around $350???
I have been feeding and watering here, but had help for the cleaning etc. Sadly, I will need to hire more help to take care of the kids while I am fresh out of surgery. It’s amazing how much money I saved the rescue by working and not getting paid.
For now though, I simply need more help.
We had 2 of our wilds colic with the crazy weather. That means meds etc. Phantom Jr. is having some issues with his hoof, and that required a trip to the vet as well.
So between the vet bills for $4345 and $350, plus the hay, and the help to feed and care for the critters, I am hoping to get some help to get these paid off.
I am heading to surgery the Monday after next for a total hip replacement on my “good leg”, and then Doc is working on a plan for my broken, right leg.
it would be amazing to have less bills to worry about when I went under.
I am reaching out to see if anyone would possibly like to help me with our vet bills, hiring help, and to buy more hay.
We haven’t stopped rescuing for a minute, and we won’t, but sometimes the financial situation can be a struggle. It is NOT an emergency, but I would absolutely appreciate any help with this.

As always, there is little time to stop and grieve. Another 911 for a heavily pregnant mare who is scheduled to ship to slaughter.
I haven’t seen her, but she has run out of time.
We need to raise at least $2,000 to get her safe, transported and settled in with the basics. She will need lots of special feed for her and her unborn foal.
We still have to catch up the vet bills, but I had to had to go out on faith, so of course I said Yes, my Chilly Pepper Family, will keep her and her unborn baby off the slaughter truck.
Please help.today!
Let’s help ease the heartbreak of losing the girls, by honoring their memory by saving 2 more lives.

This beautiful “Old Lady” needs us now. She is emaciated and needs help. You can look in her eyes and see how sad and broken she is.
I need to get special feed for her as she cannot seem to chew hay. She tries, but obviously it isn’t working.
She will need vet care, an equine dentist, and special feed, vitamins etc.
Pumpkin, the Cremello mare shown in the collage, was born with leg deformities. She is slightly underweight, but her biggest issue is her feet. She will need special farrier care to get her comfy again._
Sadly, Pumpkin also appears to have cancerous sarcoids.
Please help us help these horses.
Animal Control was involved, and I want to send out a HUGE THANK YOU to Yakima Animal Control. THANK YOU FOR STEPPING UP AND SAVING these horses.
The owner was unaware of the situation and called me as soon as A/C notified her of the problem.
Be careful who you trust the care of your animals too.
Hopefully with a lot of love and care we can get these two ladies feeling better.

The 4 littles are safe and sound at Dustin Time Rescue in Pocatello. It broke my heart to let them go so soon, but it made sense as they are trying to schedule my next surgery.
The 3 bigger kids adoption came through, and they are also safe and sound in their new homes.
So right now I only have Dakota and Tyler up here, and I believe there are 15? in Nevada.
We need to buy $1000 load of hay in Nevada immediately. There are 15? to feed, and the horses love their groceries.
I have a very special request for help this week.
Luckily, it is a one time expenditure,
We need $2097.94 to replace the emergency funds that were used for the electrician. The nursery buildings are now wired DIRECTLY & CORRECTLY, after having 2 extension cord fires.
We have been on a waiting list and it was finally our turn. PTL!
Between the hay, vet bill, restocking of supplies and the electrical work & my extra help, we need approximately $5000+.
We can’t afford or risk not having what we need if babies/horses show up unexpectedly.
I will still need to hire extra help for a bit longer, (and that might be a bit of an understatement lol). It sure show how people coming together makes an amazing difference.
I’m heading back to Seattle for a Doc appt next Thursday. Hopefully they will be scheduling my hip replacement on my “good leg”.
I think we have SAVED roughly 19 or so new horses, since I 1st broke my Tibia.

Thank you for the breakaway halters for the littles. They arrived just in time . I also want to thank my NV peeps for securing the milk and supplies from Benson Feed for us. You are so appreciated.
A Fun Note: I was looking at worst case scenario if they actually do have to amputate my bad leg. I was figuring out a really cool pulley system, where I could make the milk and send out the buckets on a pulley. I was feeling pretty cool, until Danniell dashed my bubble and asked why not just put the hose where I make the milk and just make it at the bucket. Wow, way to dash my cool plans, but there you go. There is always a way to “git ‘er done”.

Thank You for helping us help these kids. These are NOT our normal babies. They are from a private herd dispersal. I am grateful they came straight to us as opposed to hitting a sales yard 1st.
There are actually 4 milk babies, and 3 older kids. Two of them spent their first night at the vet hospital. (Our matching funds will cover their first night and the meds.)
Princess Penelope, the one with the funny milk face was colicky and acting like she was dying. In all reality, the banamine and the trailer ride fixed her up quite well. She was quite perky by the time Doc saw her.
Neither of them have any teeth yet, so they are very young. Both of them had fluids , plasma and antibiotics.
I have already gone through 50 pounds of milk powder, and they are all drinking, and seem to be doing quite well. We are dealing with some diarrhea, but that is normal.
A wonderful donor stepped up and said she will match up to a $1000 in donations. I cannot begin to thank her, as well as everyone else who is helping with these kids. This $2000 will go to the vet to cover the 1st night and the meds etc.
This will include donations made as of yesterday morning at 10 a.m. I believe we are close to halfway there.

A call came in this morning. Can we take a trailer load of 7 mustang kids? 5 MIlk babies and 2 older babies.
Of course I am running on Faith as always, so I said YES!.
HOWEVER, we need serious help!
We need approximately $3500, JUST to get them to Chilly Pepper.
It will cost OVER $2000 for 5 babies for EACH MONTH of milk powder.
We will need foal lac pellets, grain, hay, wormer, meds and to get them vetted.
With seven on the way, we are looking at needing alot of help.
I am also having to hire help for feeding, cleaning and taking care of everyone, thanks to my goofy leg.
I put up the pix of my knee so folks understand why I need the help. I am not allowed to lift any weight, and am supposed to be on crutches at the very least. Doc said the original x-ray actually looked better, so that wasn’t real happy news.
I should find out next week if there is any improvement.
So far the bone has NOT healed and it is looking like this is the new me until it breaks. They are seriously talking about amputation if it does break, so I am being extremely careful. However, I know God put these in front of me because He wants me to help.
Help is an additional expense._ So please give generously.

Good news and sad news. Spice is safely settled in at home in NV. Thank you for saving her life. She so appreciates your love and support, as do I, of course.
There are so many hard times in rescue, and once again we had another hospice case with Dexter. Sadly, our beautiful boy was too badly injured to have any type of quality of life. Doc ended his suffering and we are all reeling from another heartbreak due to evil humans.
He was seen by Doc several times, and we need to cover the vet bill for those visits and to have him euthanized and laid to rest.
On a brighter note, Spice is not a mean or vicious horse whatsoever. Our on site gal Tiona, has already had hands on her and she is doing very well. I guess she didn’t need a bullet after all. It still enrages me that her fate was a bullet while the so called “trainer” got a new horse.
THANK YOU for saving her.
I am hoping all, or at least most of you take a moment to go to the link below. Just copy and put in your browser. It is a video of Dakota, our beautiful stallion who is now waiting for major surgery as he is cryptorchid. (Only one testical dropped and the other is floating somewhere in his abdomen.)
He is so amazing, and will warm your heart as he chatters to me, sounding almost like he is a rapper. I really hope y’all can take a minute as he will definitely make you smile and bring joy to your heart.
We see so much sadness, and this silly boy really helped me with my struggles. I am dealing with some tough issues with my leg, and was in so much pain, but he really cheered me up.
We need hay in NV and WA again, and I appreciate every single dollar y’all donate. You, my Chilly Pepper Family, are simply wonderful, and I am honored you support me in saving so many lives.

This one really infuriates me, and she is one of our own BLM wild mares, (Nevada peeps, or so I was told).
I was asked about a week or so ago if I could help place a BLM Mare that needed a place to go. I was trying to see if we could make any progress in helping find that home, as I am not really set up to take her on right now.
Then I got the “last call,” a few hours ago.
TODAY, we were told “IF SHE IS NOT OFF THE PROPERTY BY FRIDAY, SHE WILL GET A BULLET IN HER HEAD.
Do you know why???? Because A NEW HORSE IS COMING AND NEEDS HER SPACE. So, if she is NOT off the property. they will SHOOT HER DEAD, simply because they couldn’t do anything with her and they are bringing a “better horse” home to take her spot.
Spice is a wild mustang, is “reactive”, and “can’t be trained”, so their answer is to not feed her properly and shoot her. She has been alone for years, with zero contact with any other horses for years. It’s time to end her suffering and bring her some joy.
Please help us save her life. We need funds for transport, any vetting needed, feed, possibly for years, and the list goes on. We need to say yes, AND raise funds for a horse that may take a very long time to place. She deserves so much better than she has gotten!
As usual, I am going on Faith, and am trusting God will provide for her and make this happen. I couldn’t say no.
Let’s keep one more BLM mustang from ending up dead, like so many others.
Dexter seemed like he was improving, but his hind end, and the foot with the shoe on it is still causing serious issues. His front feet are improving, but he is still too weak to lay down with sedation, so Tiona is working with him a little bit more, every day. He needs serious prayers. He is not out of the woods yet :(.

(I did wonder how smart it was taking on an orphan, as I am still on crutches, but we are figuring it out, as always.)
He is loving his milk and his goodies, and we have some good news regarding Dexter.
Tiona is taking great care of Dexter, and treating and wrapping his abscesses daily, and he is walking much better. He is still a long way from out of the woods, but it is definitely good news.
Grandpa George is settling in and seems to feel right at home.
We appreciate all your help with these precious souls. If you want to donate to their vet care, you can call Zimmerman Veterinary at 775-623-0981.
