Spanning 300,000 acres and tracking over 3,400 individually identified horses, this is now the largest humane wild horse management program in the world. But the reality is, the Virginia Range wild horses are losing their habitat every day to rapid development encroaching on their wild lands.
So with the support of more than 90 landowners, 40+ trained volunteers, and a growing network of partners, our fertility control program is keeping them wild while being internationally recognized as a model for what’s possible — most recently in the peer-reviewed journal Vaccines.
