| Can you tell us a little about yourself, your family, business, or organization? |
| I am an avid explorer and photographer. I enjoy sharing memory-filled outings in the outdoors via social media, fine art prints and workshops. I specialize in outdoor and equine photography and video, and I am an Exclusive Contributor to Getty Images for stock photos. My images of nature have appeared in the LA Times, Sacramento Bee, San Francisco Chronicle, Travel, Alaska and Trail Rider Magazine (cover) to name a few. In addition to making many horse-loving clients happy, my equine photos have appeared on book and album covers, and they have been used for a myriad of advertising.
I also enjoy bringing other photogs on workshops in the West, Canada, Iceland and Alaska. Workshops are organized through Meetup.com. If you have special requests for a shoot, prints or private workshop, please reach out via the contact link. |
| What inspired you to become a Boots and Bling sponsor? |
| My wife has been a longtime volunteer for AAE, and we have adopted a few horses over the years. She has also trained several for adoption, and we know what it takes to care for the horses and to give them a good life. My role as a board member has also offered additional insights into sponsoring, and we wanted to do what we could to help. My photo subjects are often wild mustangs or owner’s horses, and I feel like I have developed an understanding of the horses over the years and know they have feelings and suspect they are appreciative of care. |
| Why is supporting AAE important to you? |
| We believe part of our role here on earth is to make life better for people and animals who may have it rough. Helping the horses help fills that responsibility for them but also for the people who end up giving them a forever home. You sometimes hear people ask “who rescued who.” Knowing the inside operations of AAE also gives me confidence every dollar is going to help the horses. |
| What would you say to someone considering becoming a Boots & Bling sponsor? |
| The horses do need care and feeding which takes real money. With every dollar going to the horse’s benefit, you can be confident your contribution matters. Being able to see tangible results or benefit to the horses is especially rewarding. |
