A Double Donkey Adoption to Warm Your Day

The following is from All About Equine Animal Rescue: Each December, we pause to look back at the moments that defined our year: the horses who came into our care, the ones who found their families, and the milestones that shaped our journey. All month long, we’ll continue sharing a daily story from 2025: arrivals, adoptions, special victories (including a few furry, tail-wagging ones), and the incredible people who showed up again and again. These stories celebrate what we’ve done together, because none of it happens without you.  At the heart of every update is the same truth: second chances are the greatest gift we can give. Today’s story follows two donkeys who came to AAE on different paths, but ...

Home for the Holidays? These Two Are Ready!

The following is from All About Equine Animal Rescue: Every December we look back and gather the stories that shaped the year: the rescues, recoveries, and new beginnings that remind us why this work matters.  Throughout the month, you'll receive a daily email featuring the horses who arrived, and those that found new homes. We will also share other important moments and milestones from the year (hint: wagging tails and a brand new space) and highlight the volunteers and sponsors who make every day possible. It’s our way of reflecting on the past twelve months and celebrating everything we’ve accomplished together, while recognizing none of it happens without you. Each story is a reminder of the greatest gift we can ...

Honoring the Life of A Beloved Member of our AAE Family

The following is from All About Equine Animal Rescue: One in a million... Dear Friends, It is with immense sadness and heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of our dear friend, Judy Graham, who left us on November 7, 2025. Judy was a vibrant light within our AAE community—a cherished friend, a trusted confidant, and one of our most passionate and dedicated volunteers. She was a true champion for our horses, our volunteers, and for AAE as a whole. Over the years, she wore many hats and played an integral role in our growth, our success, and our move to Pilot Hill. One of her favorite things was taking photos of the horses and sharing her artistic talents ...

Chilly Pepper – We do still have a Water 911…..

The following is from Chilly Pepper - Miracle Mustang: The water situation is a bit dire. The total estimated costs to get the water fixed is $2400 +/-. This is not something that can be postponed or put off. The part that was already changed was $590, and they want to be paid for that today. I need to keep my ranch hand here until I am recovered from my injuries, (at the very least). He is unbelievable and does so much of the work for free. However, he does need to be paid something so I can keep him here. At this time, I medically cannot do what I need to do, so having him here is imperative to keep these ...

Chilly Pepper – It’s Thanksgiving, 22 horses and we have no water :(

The following is from Chilly Pepper - Miracle Mustang: Happy Thanksgiving. I hope all is well with you and your families. Things are great here EXCEPT for the fact there is no running water. With 22 horses, running water is a huge necessity. I am so thankful for each and every life we have saved or changed. I am thankful for each and every donation y'all have sent. The truck is fixed and paid for. Thank you! We need $1400 to finish paying off both vet bills. Doc really needs to come out asap and decide the best treatment for Moonshine. She is really struggling with her injured hips and I need to pay off the bill prior to him coming back ...
