Take a Peek at This Month’s Adoptable Star: Theo
The following is from All About Equine Animal Rescue:

The Road to Home series celebrates the special horses who are ready to find their forever families.
This month’s spotlight shines on Theo, a young Arabian gelding whose energy, intelligence, and charm make him truly unforgettable.
THEO

In late 2023, officers discovered 24 abandoned horses on a remote high-desert property, left without food, water, or care. With winter approaching and the herd’s condition worsening, authorities stepped in to provide support, but sadly, a few did not survive. By February 2024, the herd was officially seized, and the following month, AAE stepped in to help, welcoming 15 of the horses, including mares with foals, young fillies, and a colt born shortly after the seizure. That colt was Theo.

When Theo and his mom Ella first arrived, he wanted nothing to do with people. Not even for a second! But with time, patience, and plenty of mealtime visits, his curiosity began to peek through. Slowly, he learned that humans weren’t so bad after all, though he still preferred the company of his four-legged friends.

When another mare, Norah, and her filly, Noah, joined Ella and Theo, the little herd began to grow. Later, Sweeney and her filly, Tyler, joined in, too. The youngsters quickly bonded and could often be seen frolicking together in their paddocks. What a joyful sight after such a rough beginning!

| Now, Theo is blossoming into a proud, spirited young Arabian. He’s full of personality and growing like a weed! He still needs to build more confidence, but we know he’s sure to make someone a wonderful companion.
Theo was castrated at about six months old and is current with hoof care, vaccines, deworming, and microchipping. |
