From Lost to Loved
The following is from All About Equine Animal Rescue:

Each December, we take a moment to look back at the stories, moments, and milestones that shaped another year of rescue.
Throughout the month, you’ll continue to receive a daily glimpse into 2025: new arrivals, joyful adoptions, small-but-mighty breakthroughs (including a few with wagging tails), and the volunteers and supporters who make it all possible. These stories are a celebration of what we’ve accomplished together, because none of it happens without you.
And woven through every update is the same reminder: the greatest gift we can offer is a second chance.
CAYLEE

Caylee’s AAE story is short and sweet, just like she is.Her journey to AAE began in an unexpected place: wandering loose through the streets until law enforcement brought her to a local shelter. No one came to claim her, and with no safe place to land, she made her way to AAE in April 2025.

At first, Caylee wasn’t so sure about people. She was tricky to halter and quick to keep her distance. But once she settled in, that soft, gentle side appeared. With patience and consistency, she slowly let her guard down. Each session brought a little more trust, a little more confidence.
She received the care she needed (hoof and dental care, vaccines, deworming, and a microchip), and she had a blood test for a pregnancy check to be safe. Thankfully, we ddn’t as “Who’s the daddy?”.
Caylee blossomed into a lovely, willing little mare. And it wasn’t long before someone saw exactly what was unfolding.
Sweet Caylee found her person, Mary-Catherine, and her happy new beginning, in late summer.

Congratulations to this new team! We’re looking forward to seeing your progress in the future!!
