    Meredith, just a sidebar comment, when you do go to the split lines, consider perhaps a bit lighter weight line. With these tiny equines I would think that over time normal weight lines would make them hard mouthed. IMHO.

    Hi Meredith. So happy to find you have a website! I’ve read your book about mules years ago, and was so happy someone actually thought they had brains! I LOVE longears. Not instead of my horses, but in addition to, and would love a saddle mule if I could afford another mouth to feed. I’ve raised three gorgeous miniature mules with a little rescued mini mare and a donkey jack I used to have a few years back. They are captivating to most people who have seen them.
