I looked at Chasity in early March, but because of Covid19 and drastic changes to the Equine Therapy program, I let her go. Loved her unique coloring.
Did you do a thorough vet check before you bought her? I had noticed the fallen crest and back line, but the leaking teats and cataracts? Bot infestation? Surely a vet would have caught those.
I am having another donkey at Garrett’s vet checked as I can’t go meet her in person. I wish I could, but I have videos and still shots. I hope the vet is really thorough.

I thought the vet should have caught those things, too, but I have discovered in my experience that vets are not necessarily schooled in Longears, as I indicated to Bill (certainly not Bill’s fault!)! I am lucky to have the one that I have. We discuss things consistently and that way we BOTH learn a lot and can deal with just about anything we get thrown at us!
